What Makes Our UTV Tours the Best in Tennessee?

If you’re looking for things to do in Pigeon Forge outdoors, one of the most fun and unique activities you can enjoy is a guided UTV tour in the Smoky Mountains. At WildSide, our adventure park is home to some of the most scenic UTV trails in the nation, and we’d love to help you experience the Smoky Mountains like you never have before.

Why Are WildSide’s UTV Tours the Best in Tennessee?

From our long tour times and cutting-edge fleet of UTVs to our adventure park’s scenic mountain overlooks and trails that run through pristine Smoky Mountain forests, you can find lots to love about our UTV tours. While a guide rides out front, you’ll be given full control over your UTV, exploring our trails as fast or as slow as you want.

If you’re trying to decide if a UTV tour at WildSide is worth it, learn more about why WildSide offers the best UTV tours in Pigeon Forge (and the Smoky Mountains!) below:

1. Ideal Tour Length & Pace

When you get behind the wheel of our UTVs or hop in the passenger side, you can expect to enjoy a full 90-minute UTV experience through the Smoky Mountains.

We’ve found that a 90-minute tour provides riders with the opportunity to explore our trails, leaving them feeling both excited and tired by the time they’re done.

Worried that you’ll spend half the tour learning how to drive a UTV? Unlike others, we don’t include the instructional and loading up portion of our tours in our time limit. Instead, your full 90 minutes will be spent behind the wheel, unless you stop on your tour for pictures!

You can also take the UTV tour at your own pace, pushing your UTV to the limit when you feel a need for speed and slowing to a crawl when you want to check out the scenery.

We also ensured that our UTV trails have plenty of built-in stops for taking pictures.

2. Vehicle Performance

We love off-roading at WildSide, and we know how important a high-quality UTV can be for the experience. After all, if you’re trying a UTV for the first time, you’re probably not going to see why off-roading is so fun if you’re given a glorified golf cart to drive.

Our Can-Am Mavericks, Commanders, and Defenders are top-of-the-line UTVs designed to deliver a thrilling experience to drivers and their passengers.

Alongside offering fast speeds, our UTVs feature performance-grade front and rear suspension, helping protect your comfort while navigating technical terrain. They also all feature dynamic power steering, which improves the UTV’s steering response, comfort, and safety!

If you really want to push it, our four-seater Maverick features a 200 HP CC turbocharged triple cylinder engine that will have you tearing up our adrenaline-pumping UTV trails.

When you’re looking for a more relaxed, family-friendly UTV ride, the extra storage space in our six-seater Defender is ideal for larger groups who want to take along snacks and drinks for the excursion.

3. Unique Trails and Unbeatable Views

Though you can find other UTV trails in Tennessee, our trails offer jaw-dropping ride lines and views of the Smoky Mountains like no other. From our basecamp to the top, you’ll experience around 2,000 feet of elevation change, giving you plenty of opportunities to stop and take in an epic view of the wilderness.

Beyond the views, you’ll find an expansive trail system that lets you explore over 900 acres of land. We crafted our trails with fun in mind, ensuring that drivers experience the thrill of taking a fast corner or spewing up mud as they pass through a creek crossing.

4. Lots of Opportunities for Photos & Social Moments

Have you really been on a UTV tour if you don’t have a picture (and a post on Instagram) to prove it?

Wildside makes it easy for families, groups of friends, and couples to find the perfect location for a picture.

Our tours allow for time to stop for pictures, with plenty of scenic overlooks that can serve as the perfect backdrop for group photos. If you prefer to keep your camera focused on nature, the unique wildlife, plants, and scenic views along our trails make for great subjects.

5. Chance to Try a More Difficult UTV Trail

If you’d like to add some extra challenge to your UTV tour, our Strairway to Heaven trail is perfect. This hard trail has various obstacles and difficult terrain to navigate, giving drivers a nice challenge that they won’t find on most tours.

Riders planning to tackle more challenging UTV trails can also use our Stairway to Heaven trail to practice driving in rougher terrain.

One of our guides will be happy to provide tips on UTV handling and safety to help you prepare for future off-roading excursions.

6. Small Group Sizes and Personalized UTV Tours

While big groups can sometimes be fun, a small group experience tends to be best for most UTV tours. With a smaller group, it’s easier to go at your own pace, receive expert assistance from one of our guides, and explore the trails you want to check out.

At WildSide, we limit the total number of guest vehicles to eight per tour. While one of our guides leads your group down our trails, you’ll be able to see what you want, drive as fast (or slow!) as you want, and stop for pictures where you want.

This focus on ensuring you receive the exact experience you’re interested in having allows us to deliver a highly personalized tour to each group we take on our trails.
