Guided tours run at 9am and 1pm with a minimum of two riders per tour, making it a solid fit for beginners and families.

Meet MildSide, the easiest ride at WildSide, now open right here in Pigeon Forge. It’s built for anyone who wants to roll or walk through the Smokies without stressing over the climb. Whether you’re a first-timer, grandparent, or a tired parent hauling the whole crew, this trail’s for you. You won’t hit steep drops or white-knuckle moments here, just a smooth trail and a view worth the trip.

What Is MildSide?

MildSide is WildSide’s newest trail, and it’s the easiest one in the park, up or down, whether you’re on two wheels or two feet.

This 3.5-mile trail runs in both directions, so you can ride it either way and still get a smooth, mellow route. On MildSide tours, E-bikes handle the heavy lifting, and one of our guides rides along the whole time. The trail gives you less burn, more views, and zero pressure to keep up with anybody. Whether you’ve got two hours to spare or want to make it your whole afternoon, MildSide bends to your pace, not the other way around.

What You'll See Along the Way

MildSide doesn’t skimp on the views just because it skips the jumps and steep declines. Expect wide mountain overlooks, rock faces worth a second glance, and plenty of spots to catch your breath and take it all in. This trail proves that easy and scenic aren’t opposites, with a great opportunity to snap breathtaking pictures at the overlook!

What's Included

  • Expert guide: one of our crew rides with you from start to finish, keeping the pace easy and pointing out what's worth a second look
  • E-bike rental: a fully assisted e-bike rental, ready to roll, right here in Pigeon Forge. No mountain biking experience required
  • Helmet: included and required. We joke around a lot at WildSide, but safety isn't one of the jokes
  • Tour price: $149.99 per rider

Riders who book a MildSide tour also get 50% off shuttle and trail passes, plus 20% off annual passes, on the same visit.

MildSide Is Built for Beginners and Families

MildSide skips the steep drops and technical features you’ll find on our other trails. No experience needed here, just the ability to pedal for an hour or two.

Since your tour price includes an e-bike rental, our standard rental rules apply: riders must be 18 or older, or have an adult 18 or older with them on property, and at least 49 inches tall and under 300 pounds. Pack closed-toe shoes, a water bottle, and clothes you don’t mind getting a little dusty.

Whether you’re visiting Pigeon Forge for the week or riding WildSide every weekend, MildSide is the trail that meets you where you are. This trail works for kids old enough to handle the bike, grandparents who want the views without the grind, and first-timers who’ve never touched a mountain trail before. Nobody’s getting left behind, and nobody’s getting talked down to either.

MildSide Now Welcomes Hikers Too

Hiking in Pigeon Forge just got easier. MildSide is officially open to hikers, not just bikers, so grab your boots or your bike, whichever you’re feeling. If you’ve been hunting for the best hiking near Pigeon Forge without a brutal climb, this is it. MildSide joins our growing list of Pigeon Forge hiking trails, and it’s one of the easiest ones you’ll find in the Smokies.

Bring your dog along too. Leashed pups are welcome on the trail, so it’s an easy one to work into a hike with the whole family, four-legged members included.
