While we can’t help you with questions like “What is the meaning of life?” we can help you with questions about bikes and UTVs and stuff. Probably pretty obvious but you never know.
What is your weather delay and cancellation policy?
We do not offer refunds for weather. WildSide will offer weather vouchers good for up to a year to rebook your experience. For any changes or cancellations, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance by calling (865) 378-7400 or emailing us at [email protected]
Are pets allowed?
Yes! Friendly and well-behaved dogs are allowed at BaseCamp. Dogs are not allowed on the bike trails or on the UTV tours. ADA certified service animals are also permitted. Please notify our staff when checking-in if you will be accompanied by a service animal.
Can I bring my own food and drinks?
Yes! Feel free to bring food and non-alcoholic drinks to BaseCamp. Opened food and drinks will not be allowed on UTV tours, but we encourage you to bring a water bottle or sports drink bottle with a sealable lid on your tour.
Are firearms allowed?
No, don’t even try…
What is the policy on coolers?
Small coolers are permitted at BaseCamp but cannot be brought on the bike trails or UTV tours. Coolers must be with you at all times and cannot be left unattended. No outside alcohol is allowed on premise.
When do you stop selling tickets for the day?
Ticket sales will end 2 hours before the posted close time.
Does Wildside provide first aid?
We have trained staff ready to help if First Aid assistance is needed. First Aid assistance can be found at Basecamp. If you are in need of help on trails, please call (865) 378-7400 or ask a WildSide employee for assistance.

I'm a minor (the kid kind, not the shovel kind) can I come to WildSide alone?
No minors are allowed on the property without a supervising adult to accompany them.
What should I wear and bring for a UTV tour?
Wear closed-toe footwear and dress appropriately for the weather. Eye protection is required and will be provided if you don’t bring your own. Tours run rain or shine unless weather conditions pose a safety risk.
Can I bring my own UTV?
No. WildSide provides all tour vehicles.
What are the driving requirements?
You must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license. Drivers must also be tall enough to be properly seated: back against the backrest with the seat belt fastened; must be able to hold the steering wheel with both hands and still be able to reach the full stroke of brake and accelerator pedals with the right foot and to firmly plant left foot on the footrest.
Can we switch drivers throughout the tour?
Yes, there’s a designated stop and opportunity to switch drivers once per tour. If a second person is planning on driving, they must also meet driver requirements, be 18 years old or older, and present a valid driver’s license before the tour begins.
What safety equipment is available/required?
Helmets and eye protection are required and provided. Customers can wear their own eye protection if it adequately covers the eyes from debris.
How long do the tours last?
Approximately 90 mins.
How long should I arrive before my scheduled tour?
Please arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled tour.
Are UTV tours available in all weather conditions?
Yes, unless there is a threat of extreme weather conditions such as high winds, tornadoes, or extreme cold.
What kind of terrain will we be exploring on the UTV tour?
Expect mountainous terrain on wooded dirt and mud trails.
Are there restroom facilities available during the tour?
No, restrooms are available at the basecamp building before and after the tour.
Do I need to sign a waiver before participating in a UTV tour?
Yes, you will need to fill out a waiver here.
I want to ride but don't have a driver in my group?
No problem! We offer a “Ride with a Guide” ticket option that allows you to ride along in the front guide vehicle of a tour. This option does not allow you to drive the vehicle at any point during the tour.
What skill level are the trails?
WildSide trails are rated Beginner (Green), Intermediate (Blue), and Advanced (Black). Refer to our trail map to see which trails best fit your skill level.
Are the bike trails open year round?
Yes, our trails are open year-round however, operating hours may be limited during off season months.
Are bike trails available in all weather conditions?
Yes, the trails are built and maintained for most weather conditions. Please refer to the link below for trail status.
How many miles of trails do you have?
We have 8 miles of biking trails with more to come.
Do you have trails designated for downhill biking?
Most of our trails are specifically designed as downhill biking trails unless otherwise noted.
Can I bring a BMX bike for the Jump Track?
Sorry, but for the most part no. Your bike must have at least one form of suspension, 24-inch wheels, and disk brakes to ride on our trails.
Are adaptive bikes allowed?
Sorry, but no. Adaptive bikes are not allowed on our trails.
Do you have a bike shuttle?
Yes! We do have a bike shuttle. To use the shuttle, purchase a pedal + shuttle pass.
What is an E-bike?
Our E-bikes are Class 1, pedal-assist bikes. Pedal-assist E-bikes use a motor making it easier to pedal and have a variable resistance adjustment so you can set your level of difficulty.
Do you provide helmets and other safety gear with bike rentals?
Are bike rentals available for children?
Yes, we offer kids’ bike rentals for children over 49” tall.
What size bike do I need?
Please refer to our sizing chart. If your height falls between two sizes, choose the smaller size, if available.
How long can I ride the trails?
All rentals must be returned by posted closing hours. Please refer to the operating hours here.
What happens if the rented bike gets damaged during my ride?
Riders are responsible for any reported damages and are obligated to inform the bike shop located at Basecamp facilities. Purchasing additional insurance is highly recommended. This can be added to your rental when you check out online or when you arrive to WildSide.
Do I need prior mountain biking experience?
WildSide trails are designed for beginners through advanced riders. Some experience bike riding off paved roads or trails is recommended. However, the trails are designed and identified for riders of varied experience.
Can I bring my own bike?
Yes, you’re welcome to bring your own bike. Your bike must have at least one form of suspension and 24-inch wheels to ride on our trails. No adaptive bikes are allowed on our trails.
